Light and transparent in design, a sequence of wavering arches spans across the area next to the Milan Expo grounds, providing a graceful infrastructural solution. An elevated roadway, a new tunnel, an elevated rotunda and landscape were designed to create a positive impact to one of the busiest and most developed areas in Lombardy. An optical and kinetic color effect is created by a subtle achromatic color composition, designed in collaboration with the artist Jorrit Tornquist.
