On the vivid south side of the Bergamasco hills in northern Italy where the landscape folds and changes its nature, the villa complex houses individual members of the family in disjoint buildings. High and turreted, the core building’s living room becomes the center of an intricate composition, the heart of family’s life. The plans and volumes of the building are both reminiscent of a small medieval town, distilled in the clean formulations of the exterior architecture and the interiors.
